Those lucky guys in Engadget just received an invitation from T-Mobile to the HTC HD2 event.  It is going to happen in New York.  This kind of proved the release date of the HD2 is around March 24.

TmoNews has leaked some new information about the new Motorola Cliq XT.  Just a few words, this Cliq XT is a newer version of Motorola Cliq.  This is a social entry level smartphone with Android OS.  Three pictures including the packaging was leaked.  This Motorola Cliq XT will be available at your T-Mobile store in the next few days.

T-Mobile is launching their HSPA+ connection soon in selected cities.  The first initial launch will occur on March 14 in the following cities, Dallas, TX; Miami, FL; Los Angeles, CA; Chicago, IL and maybe Philadelphia, PA.  For all current T-Mobile customers, don’t worry that you are no in any of the above cities.  There is no exisiting handset can support this new HSPA+.  The first available device to be able to use the HSPA+ connectivity is a USB modem, which is called, “webconnect Rocket”.   This “webconnect Rocket” will not be available until March 14.  No pricing is released yet.

There is a leak from Engadget.com claiming that Microsoft is releasing the Pink phone at Verizon and Vodafone.  The estimated timing is on April 20th.  What has been leaked is that this phone is made by Sharp.  A full QWERTY keyboard is integrated.  From the carriers leaked, there will be a GSM and a CDMA version.  OS of the phone will absolutely not the Windows Mobile.  It will be some kind of messaging phone.  Leaked name of the 2 versions are called Pure and Turtle, possibility is because of how it looks.

On March 14, Sprint is going to release the Red BlackBerry Curve 8530 at $49.95 with 2-yr contract.  Man… can’t imagine how many colors that BlackBerry Curve 8530 is going to have.  You will need to pick your color first, then your carrier now.

Apple announced today about the new Apple iPad.  It is going to be available for pre-order on March 12.  The available date is on April 3rd.   There are 2 models that are going to be available for pre-order, the WiFi only and the WiFi + 3G iPad.  Obviously, the one that available for pick up on April 3rd will be the WiFi version.  For those of you want the WiFi + 3G will need to wait for another month.  We will not see any waiting line for this iPad outside any Apple store this time because the pre-order will happen online.

For those of you’ve been waiting, the time has come.  You are about a week away to order your iPad and about a month away to play with it.  Interesting Apple marketing strategy which needs you to wait.  That’s why they were chosen by Fortune to be the most admired company in the industry.

A few mystery pictures of a BlackBerry are floating on the BlackBerry community.  BBleaks.com released a couple of pictures that showing a BlackBerry with a sliding keyboard.  From the picture, you can see a BlackBerry device with a touch screen like appearance plus a 9700 like keyboard.  Lucky that it seems like the screen is not the Sure Press kind of screen.  Also, this mystery device has a touch pad instead of a track ball.
